Esther Short — More than 400 people celebrated the past of philanthropy and “imagined tomorrow today,” as was the theme of the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington’s 30th anniversary gala on June 14 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington.

The foundation unveiled a redesigned website at http://cfsww.org, launched a citizen survey about future priorities for our community at http://www.500kVoices.org, and reviewed accomplishments for 2013, including making 982 grants totalling nearly $7 million.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Claire Gaudiani, an expert on the history of philanthropy. Overall, the CFSWW now manages 299 separate funds totaling a charitable pool of $80 million.
